Quoting police records the congress party has alleged that those running human trafficking rackets enjoy political protection and this has led to 17365 girls and women missing from state between 2008 and 2011. According to National Crime Record Bureau, Chhattisgarh has reported over 1000 rape cases in the last one year.
These figures are shocking to a state like Chhattisgarh which is doing well in other sectors.
